Pod Running is excited to announce we'll be hosting our fourth 24 hour virtual race! The Snow Moon 24 Hour Challenge will take place on Saturday, February 8, 2025 @ 8am. The race is named for the full moon we ran through in the inaugural year and close to the full moon we'll be running through this year! It's a virtual race which means you will be competing from wherever you are in the world. Run 1 mile or run 100 miles!
Distances will be recorded using a gps watch or smartphone app (see info below). You will then submit it to us when you are finished, and we will compile the results. Finishers will receive an awesome winter hat mailed to them after the race is over and we will have tiered prizes for milestone distances completed.
THE COURSE:
You make your own course and run anytime you want in the 24 hour time period. Make it trail, road or even treadmill, run or walk, anyway you want it.
AMENITIES:
Winter Hat
Printable Bib
Milestone Distance Prizes
Free Training Plan from Pod Running

RECORDING YOUR PROOF/SUBMISSION:
We are requiring GPS data to prove you ran or walked the miles and to help make sure our results are as fair and accurate for everyone in the race. Once you are done, screenshot as much information as possible (not just the watch face) and/or email us the link to your results (please make them public for our review) so we can tally them all.
All screenshots and links should be emailed to podrunningco@gmail.com by 8:00pm Eastern time on Sunday, February 9, 2025. (That will allow you 12 hours after you finish to submit your miles) If we do not receive an entry it will result in a DNF.
GPS Run Tracking/Options: If you don't have a GPS watch, you can still use a free smartphone free app to track each of your runs/walks. Some of the better ones & our recommendations are Strava, Map My Run, or RunKeeper.. All are free and available on iOS or Android app stores for smartphones. I would recommend If you need one for the race, to download it, and become familiar with it before you start your miles.
Refund Policy:
Due to the customer nature of our race "swag", production and shipping timelines, and other issues, once you have finished and paid for your registration, no refunds are given. We will waive this policy on a case-by-case basis. To inquire about a refund, please email us and we'll do all we can to help you out. Generally speaking, any refund given will be the total amount paid minus the processing fees taken during the transaction.
PRIZES: To be announced.

The Team

Engineer, Father, Trail Runner & Coach.
Jon Podeszek
With 24 years of running experience, I have been fortunate enough to have run with some of the best ultra runners in the world. I started out running at the Middle School, High School & Collegiate levels and have since moved into ultra-endurance distances progressing through 50k to 100 mile races. After running in the 6 Hour Cast a Shadow snow shoe race, I became hooked on ultra running. Since then some of the races that I’ve finished are; Cayuga Trails 50, Twisted Branch 100k and the Sulphur Springs 100 mile race.
Throughout the last fifteen years, I have been coaching and motivating fellow athletes and would love the opportunity to work with you. Whether you’re setting out for your first Half Marathon or trying to run a Marathon PR, we can work together to help you achieve your goals. Just remember to enjoy the journey!
Designer, Mother & Trail Runner.
Danielle Podeszek
Danielle was a sprinter in high school and held the school record in javelin during her college years. After stepping away from the sport for a bit, she found her way back to running and now races everything from 5Ks to 100 milers. She’s a Boston Marathon finisher with a marathon PR of 3:27 and has a deep love for the Backyard Ultra format, where mental grit and consistency take the lead.
Based in Buffalo, NY, Danielle is the left-brain side of Pod Running—bringing creativity, fresh ideas, and a big-picture vision to the club. Whether racing, crewing, or cheering from the sidelines, she’s all about building a strong, fun, and welcoming running community.
Testimonials
"I wouldn't be the runner I am now without your training plans, coaching, leadership, and support. It amazes me that I am a faster and stronger runner today than I was 10 years ago. If anything, my running should be declining with age. My improvement can mainly be attributed to the work I did with your run group. The runners in the group were supportive and encouraging. Pod Running is reason that I have been able to achieve PRs in the last two half marathons I ran."
-Amy
"I would like to take a moment to thank Jon Podeszek at POD Running, for helping me with my training for the 40 mile Many on the Genny trail race. Jon was a valuable resource throughout my training as this was my first 40 miler and only 2nd Ultramarathon. I highly recommend contacting Jon if you are looking to take your running to the next level."
